Head of Business Development

Job Summary: The Head of Business Development will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth for the company. This role is critical in expanding Air Q Limited’s market presence and ensuring long-term business success. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive team to align business development strategies with the company’s overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
    • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities, partnerships, and business ventures.
    • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Partnerships & Alliances:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders.
    • Negotiate and close strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances that support the company’s growth objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful execution of partnership agreements.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth:
    • Lead the business development team in identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
    • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients, partners, and projects.
    • Oversee the creation of proposals, presentations, and contracts to secure new business deals.
    • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on strategies and goals.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Drive the expansion of Air Q Limited’s products and services into new markets and regions.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and assess market viability.
    • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches and market entries.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Lead and mentor the business development team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
    • Set clear performance goals and expectations for the team, and monitor progress against these goals.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the business development department.
  • Budget & Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet business development objectives and targets.
    • Monitor and report on business development metrics, including revenue growth, market share, and customer acquisition.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Integration:
    • Work closely with other departments, including R&D, engineering, and production, to ensure alignment on business development initiatives.
    • Provide market insights and feedback to inform product development and innovation.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to support overall business objectives.
  • Representation & Advocacy:
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Advocate for the company’s products and capabilities to external partners, clients, and industry leaders.
    • Act as a spokesperson for the company in business development matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, with a focus on the aerospace or technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading business development initiatives and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UAV industry and market trends is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
